Prerequisites Before the Setup of Woods Timers Instructions
What are the things that you should get ready before you begin the setup? Just like most electronic devices that require setup, you have to prepare your Woods timer for all the setup.
- Charging the battery
The first thing to do is to charge the Woods timer and to do that, you have to plug it into an electric outlet for 10 minutes. When it is charged enough, you can go ahead to unplug it from the outlet and hold it to complete the rest of the rest of the setup.
- Reset the memory

Press down the “Prog” button on your timer device. Keep an eye on the display, once the setting you want to remove or restore pops up, press either the RST or RCL button. - Random setting security features
You need the timer to be on “Auto” mode. When it’s in the mode, you will see “Auto” at the bottom of the display. Then, you have to press the “Clock” button. Next, press and hold down the “HOUR-RND button for 5 seconds. You will see “RND ” right next to the minute on the display. Now, the plugged in device will be turned on and off randomly by the random settings function. This will cause the plugged in device to be automatically turned on for 10 to 26 minutes. And it will be turned off for 26 to 42 minutes randomly. Note that this random setting will always outrun any on or off program that you have preset. Nevertheless, if you would like to cancel the random setting that you have set, all you have to do is to press down the “HOUR-RND” button for 5 seconds. Once the “RND ” disappears from the display, it means it has been disabbled.
- The countdown settings
Press down the “Prog” button and scroll through all the 20 settings till you get to the countdown settings “ON/OFF”. Then press the “Hour” and “Minute” buttons to set the countdown. Next, you have to press the clock button and then you have to press and hold in place the RCL-CD button for 5 seconds. This will initiate the countdown feature. Furthermore, on the lower part of the display, “CD” will flash. Once the countdown time is complete, the plugged in device will switch off. In addition, if you want to turn off the countdown feature, put it in the clock mode and press down the RCL-CD button for 5 seconds.
- Daylight savings time:
To set this feature, you have to press and hold the “CLOCK-DST” for about 5 seconds. This will push forward your day time up to 1 hour for “Daylight savings time”. And if you would like to disable this function, press down the CLOCK-DST button so that the time will be reversed and set to 1 hour back. And then the “Daylight Savings Time” will be gone.
